8. 1. 10th F folks, TIME FOR ASSESSMENT - TAKE 2
This page will be open till Wednesday, 4th June. Please, edit the page and start participating. Be creative and innovative, or even better, BE YOU!!!!The schoolyear is coming to a close. So, let's assess all the work done and share some opinions! Point all all the positive and not so positive, or even negative points!...Just let me jot down a few topics for you to consider:
A. Expectations - Were they fulfilled or not? Why (not)?

I think it was a good year for English, however my expectations about my performance weren´t achieved... I am a bit disappointed with me, but hopefully next year i will improve and reach what I want : D

My performance wasn´t bad, but I think that I could get much more...

Pedro Valério nº20 10F

Well, overall, it was a good year of english but we can always do better, but my expectations were, in general, achieved. But i hope i can improve some things next year. :)
Bruno Campos - nº7

B. Contents / topics dealt with - Which one(s) did you like best and least? Why?

The topics covered in class that I liked the most were as obvious "problems of adolescents." Because I think we have more comfortable talking about these issues and we feel more comfortable in this subject.

Pedro Valério nº20 10F
The subject that I liked the most to work with was definitely Teen Problems because that is a topic that we are more related with and it's more easy for us to talk about it.
Cláudia Costa nº8 10ºF
I think this is obvious for most of the students, ofc Teen Problems. It's a great topic, related to our stage of lives and can be very useful for the future.
Bruno Campos - nº7

I agree with you all. Without doubts the best theme was "Teen Problems" because we identify with some of them. So, it was much easier to talk about it since we are teenagers.
It was a good strategy talk about this topic the last term!
Rita Antunes, no24, 10thF

The content that I personally liked the most was Teen Problems and I think that almost all the class has the same opinion, as we can see by the previous comments. That choice is probably because, as we are teens, we feel within that subject and, like Rita, Cláudia and Valério said, it's easier for us to talk about it.Ana Luísa Tenreiro, nº2, 10ºF

C. Class activities / materials - Which activities / materials used did you like best? And least? Why?
Probably the chair activity, it was really funny and i'll never forget that quote "move your butts" ahah :DD
Bruno Campos - nº7

D. Which was the best movie project that I suggested? And the most terrible? Why?

The movie i most enjoyed to see was undoubtedly the "Life as a House" because i had already seen the Hunger Games and the other films are not exactly my favorite genre ...
Pedro Valério nº20 10F
As you probably already know, I love "The Hunger Games", both book and movie, so it was probably my favourite. Also, I was extremely happy to discuss it with my friends and seeing the deep side of it, the side that not everyone gets to see when watching it.
Furthermore, I would have to add that I was quite sad when you said that we weren't able to watch "The
Perks of being a wallflower". However, we got to disscuss it a bit and talk about it. I was thrilled!!
Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16

Definitely the best movie we watch in class was ''The Hunger Games''! I've watched that movie so many times and I can´t get tired of it.
Another movie that I enjoyed to watch was ''Life as a House'' although it has an emotional end.

Cláudia Costa nº8 10ºF

I can't really say only one, because i consider two of them the best and equal - Hunger Games and Life as a House, In fact, i had already watched the second one, but it's always good to see it again. The first one is a sci-fi movie which is great for us, and then, there is Katniss <3 (no need to say more :p). In relation to the second one, it's about a theme extremely important for us and for our future, related with the topic about teen problems.
There weren't terrible movies, i just liked more these two than the rest.

Bruno Campos - nº7

First of all I have to say that I enjoyed all the movies, because in my opinion, all of them transmitted some learning for us. Anyway, there were two movies that I liked more than the others, they were The Hunger Games and Life as a House, both of them are great movies with great stories and I really enjoyed to watch and discuss them in the classes.
Ana Luísa Tenreiro, nº2, 10ºF

E. Which class(es) did you like the most? And the least? Why?

The classes I enjoyed most were undoubtedly the "speaking activity" , because they were the funniest classes and we were more relaxed and could enjoy the presentation of our colleagues.

Pedro Valério nº20 10F
As Valério and I mentioned before, the most enjoyable classes were the ones where we got the chance to be more relaxed. In my opinion, those were the roleplays, debates and also the roundtable discussions. I really liked those and I believe they were the best!

Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16

I admit that the speaking activities were great, but watching the movies was better :D

Bruno Campos - nº7

Well, we all like to be relaxed!
The classes I liked the most were the roleplays. Although taking time to prepare, is always fun to see our clleagues perform and is also very good for us to improve our English!
Rita Antunes, no24, 10thF

F. How did you like your teacher? What were / are her qualities as a teacher and as a person? What about her defects? (I promise it won't interfere with your mark ...) So, be honest, pleaseeeee!
Well... Let me think...
Firstly, one thing that I have to point out is your simpathy. when I say this I am not trying to say that your nice, I am saying that you impressed me due to the fact that you care. You want to know our stories, our worries and our beliefs.
Secondly, you should know that we all admire your way of thinking. You coulb be one of those English teachers who shows us movies, gives us projects that aren't even related to it and spends the class arguing with students. You have an amazing filosophy of teaching and living and we can notice that.
And I think that this is enough ahah
Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16

I totally agree with what Matilde said. Personaly I admire your way of teaching, not all the teachers give themselves to trouble doing so many activities for us. And I thank you for that. I've no complains about you, you were great and had a lot of pacience with us.

Cláudia Costa nº8 10ºF

Well there isn't much to say. I agree with both Matilde and Cláudia, because it's really impressive your way of teaching and being in class, always with jokes, smiling and having fun with us. Another thing that is rare is that you are the same person (and awesome person xD) inside and outside the classes, and that's really cool because we know that we can talk to you out of the classes because we know that you will be nice and answer with no problems! You're a character, not in a bad way, but i really enjoy you and admire you. To conclude, i think you're our 2nd mother <33

Bruno Campos - nº7

The teacher always tries to "pull" something of us all classes which is very good because it shows that you care and want that all your students give their best / be succeed.
The fact that you're constantly making fun of everything (in a good way, of course!) gives us enough confidence to talk about almost everything in classes. The relationship created with the class was very good!
Rita Antunes, no24, 10thF

G. What would you like to have changed, added or simply taken away? H. Any special memories you will keep? Funny moments you'll never forget? Which ones?
I'll save a lot of memories, especially those involving the shares of Tiago Santos and all the good moments that we had ... As is obvious i will also keep some less good moments but these are the ones that i willi try to forget: D

Pedro Valério nº20 10F
Probably the ones related to roleplays or oral presentations. They are the most memorable ones!!
Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16
I'm absolutely sure that i'll never forget the EPIC moments of Tiago Santos. In fact, i think almost everything that has to do with our english year will remain in my heart for a long time.
Bruno Campos - nº7

I. TIME TO SAY GOODBYE!!! Any special message to your teacherI
I want to wish you a good vacations, well deserve them after so much work that you had with us, and regardless of whether or not to continue as our teacher for next year, it was a pleasure to have you as a teacher and i would like to thank you for everything that you gave to us.
Pedro Valério nº20 10F

(PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, STAY WITH OUR CLASS NEXT YEAR.)I just wish that your free time without your grandchildren bothering you is spent with the (rest of the) people you love and in the most beautiful places. Then, I thank you for everything that your did for us, even when we didn't deserve your help or attention. It has been a pleasure! <3

Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16

I hope you have a wonderfull vacations, you deserve to take a break and relax (I guess that you're exausted after all the work you had with us). Thank you for everything, I'm finger crossing for you to be our teacher next year!!!!!!!!! Big kiss <3
Cláudia Costa nº8 10ºF
Well, i hope this is not the last message i write you because i can't imagine me having classes with other teachers (no offense to anyone). As i said i really like your classes and i had a lot of fun this year, so i hope i can keep enjoying my life and the english classes. With that said, i wish you an excellent vacations with the ones you love and thank you for everything you gave to us and all the hardwork you had to make us being a better students but, most importantly, a better persons! I'll never forget you!!! <3
Bruno Campos - nº7
I just wish you a great Summer and nice vacations, because after this year, full of work, you really need to take a break, without your granchildren.
